projects
NextGen's project portfolio includes an
array of engineering and technical projects completed for original equipment manufacturers, research
institutes, laboratories, universities and technology end-users.
Some of our project
work includes the following;
Fuel-Cell Research Laboratory, Engineering & System
Integration
NextGen completed the engineering, installation and
commissioning of the fuel-cell research laboratory, consisting
of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and other industrial gas systems
and equipment. NextGen provided a complete system solution by
handling all aspects of the project, including project
management, code compliance support, and regulatory approval
coordination.
The laboratory is currently being utilized by researchers to
complete performance evaluations of PEM fuel-cell stacks, as well as evaluating fuel-cell
stack configurations and testing new materials.

Research Laboratory, Engineering & Technical Support
NextGen completed several laboratory system and equipment upgrades
and continues to provide a range of engineering and technical support
services for hydrogen and related technology research projects.

Hydrogen Fuel-Cell System
NextGen completed the design of a 350 bar (5,075 psig) hydrogen fuel-cell system,
consisting of a Ballard Nexa PEM fuel-cell, a Dynetek compressed
hydrogen cylinder and a NextGen
Hydrogen Control Module.
The hydrogen fuel-cell system will be installed in a single
occupant vehicle, that will be used to showcase
PEM fuel-cell
technology across Australia.

Fleurieu Hydrogen Vehicle Consortium, South Australia
Hydrogen Ground Storage System, Engineering & System
Integration
NextGen completed the engineering, installation and commissioning
of the 165 bar (2,400 psig) compressed hydrogen ground storage
system. As part of the project,
NextGen provided the necessary project management, code
compliance support and regulatory approval coordination.
The hydrogen storage system will enable researchers to
safely complete experiments in their fuel-cell research
laboratory.

Mechanical & Gas Systems Engineering
NextGen has completed a multitude of mechanical engineering
and technical
projects for a range of clients within the automotive, industrial gas, laboratory testing and sub-sea
ocean equipment
industries.
NextGen has completed projects ranging from engineering and
design optimization,
to technical support with experimental equipment, and various
mechanical and gas system protects to 850 bar working pressures.
