NextGen's project portfolio consist of an array of
engineering and technical projects, completed for original
equipment manufacturers, research laboratories, universities and
technology end-users. Some of our recent projects include
the following;
Multi-Element Gas Container (MEGC)
The container system was designed for bulk natural gas (CNG)
transport. NextGen completed the engineering for the
cylinder frame structure, along with the required structural
analysis for obtaining regulatory approvals.
The cylinder frame structures install within modified shipping
containers and utilize a specially designed mounting system.
Both mounting system and container modifications were also engineered
by NextGen.
Sub-Sea Ocean Cabled Observatory
The cabled observatory was designed as an undersea laboratory
for ocean researchers. NextGen completed the structural
analysis for the observatory frame and landing platform, as well
as provided engineering assistance during the project.
Mobile Gas Distribution System
The gas distribution system was designed to provide an
instant hydrogen or natural gas infrastructure and emergency
supply during pipeline interruptions. NextGen completed
the engineering for the cylinder frame structure, along with the
required structural analysis for obtaining regulatory approvals.
Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Research Laboratory
The research laboratory was specifically designed for
graduate students and researchers completing PEM fuel-cell stack
performance evaluations, as well as evaluating stack
configurations and materials.
NextGen completed the engineering, installation and
commissioning of the laboratory, consisting of multiple gas
manifolds for hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and other industrial
gases, systems and equipment.
All aspects of the project, including project management,
code compliance support, and regulatory approval coordination
was handled by NextGen.
Hydrogen Ground Storage
The ground storage was designed to supply compressed hydrogen
to a research laboratory. As part of the project, NextGen
provided the necessary engineering, integration, project
management, code compliance support and regulatory approval
coordination.
Vehicular Hydrogen Fuel System
The hydrogen fuel storage and delivery system was
specifically designed for a single-seat competition vehicle that
will be used to showcase fuel-cell technology across Australia.
The fuel system consists of high-pressure hydrogen storage,
PEM fuel-cell stack and NextGen's Hydrogen Control Module that
interconnects system components. As part of the project, NextGen completed the system engineering, analysis and
integration.
